A mobile office and storage combo is a single integrated container that combines a climate-controlled workspace with secure equipment storage. For example, a 20' combo might feature an 8-10' climate-controlled office area (with power, heating, A/C, and lighting) plus 10-12' of secure storage. A 40' unit typically offers a larger office space with expanded storage alongside it. The key difference from separate units is integration—everything is in one footprint, shares a single delivery point, and eliminates the gap between workspace and stored materials.

When Should I Choose a Combo Unit Instead of Separate Storage and Office Containers?

Combo units make sense when you need both functions but space on your jobsite is limited. They reduce:

• Delivery footprint (one drop instead of two)
• Setup and electrical installation costs (single power connection vs. multiple)
• Jobsite coordination overhead (one unit to position, secure, and manage)
• Overall rental expense (slightly lower than two separate containers)

Choose separate units if you need a larger storage footprint, want to position the office and storage far apart, or anticipate one function might leave before the other.

What's the Difference Between a 20' and 40' Combo?

20' Combo: Compact footprint ideal for smaller projects or tight jobsites. Typically features  climate-controlled office space with secure storage. Single powerline can often serve both office and storage (though office climate control requires dedicated power).

40' Combo: Larger workspace and storage capacity. Offers more room for a bigger team or extended storage needs. Better for projects lasting 6+ months or sites with high traffic where you need a more professional office setup. The extra length doesn't significantly increase delivery or positioning challenges, but does require adequate space at your site.

Do Combo Units Come with Climate Control?

Yes. The office section of every combo includes PTAC (packaged terminal air conditioner) or equivalent heating and cooling. This keeps your crew comfortable year-round and protects sensitive equipment or materials stored near the office. Storage sections are secure but not climate-controlled (unless customized).

For extreme heat applications (OSHA heat stress compliance), the climate-controlled office section supports worker safety during heat warnings or high-temperature seasons.

What Power Requirements Do I Need for a Combo Unit?

The office section requires 30-50 amps for climate control, lighting, and standard office equipment (computers, printers, charging stations). Storage-only sections typically don't require power unless you're adding lighting or security features.

The storage section features heavy-duty container-grade locking doors with deadbolts. It's not a safe—it's secure against opportunistic theft but not impenetrable. For high-value or sensitive materials, some customers add:
